Welcome to Launchers Athletics!
Launchers Athletics is a throws club in the sport of track and field. The field events include the discus, shot put and javelin events. Established in 2001, the aim of the club is to give specialized training in throwing events and promote fair play, skill development and have fun throwing.
With all young athletes, goals are different with each person. The clubs main goal will be to prepare athletes for several competitive opportunities. (1) The 2013 Canada Summer Games (2) National Junior and Senior Championships (3) Team Canada Opportunites (4) Provincial Legion team and (5) students who would like to get ready for the school track season.
The club is open to individuals ages 13 and up. Interested individuals are asked to contact Steve Wohlmuth at 542-4848 to answer any questions you may have.
The Launch Pad is located at 211 Collins Road in Port Williams, Nova Scotia
The facility was built by community volunteers and club members in 2005.
